summer & school scholarships

Peninsula Temple Sholom strives to make youth education, preschool, summer camp, and teen trips to Israel available to all children within our PTS community. We recognize that from time to time, needs-based financial assistance may be required and we encourage you to apply if you are in need. Please note that all information will be kept strictly confidential.

Summer Camp and Israel Trip Scholarships

Due to the generosity of donors, Peninsula Temple Sholom is able to make an investment in our youth by supporting their ability to attend Reform Jewish summer camps and Israel programs, including NFTY in Israel, Heller EIE High School, and URJ Camp Newman.

Guidelines and Eligibility

  • Applicants must be members of PTS
  • Applicant’s family’s accounts with PTS must be current, or arrangements made
  • Applicants are required to apply to the Jewish Community Federation’s Scholarship program. The deadline for all Federation scholarships, typically mid-March, will be posted on the JCF Scholarships & Camperships web page.
  • Camp applicants are required to apply for assistance from URJ Camp Newman (or other URJ summer camp) as eligible.
